Time for Another Streak!
Time for another streak! The Runner's World Summer 2018 run streak starts on May 28, 2018 and goes through the 4th of July. 38 days to get your run geek on by running one mile, every day. I am beyond excited, since the first runner's streak I did (Thanksgiving 2017 - January 1, 2018) kindled a love of running that I never expected.
After recovering from shin splints in January/February, I started training for my first half marathon in August. I'm following the run/walk training technique by Jeff Galloway (love the app!) which puts recovery days in between running days. He recommends not doing leg work on recovery days, so I'm breaking the training plan a bit, but I figure if I run a slow, easy mile on recovery days I should be OK (don't tell Jeff!).
Of course, keeping track of the run streak days of half the fun for me! No t-shirt this time, so I made a tracking sheet. I'm getting out my colored pencils and coloring in the parts of the running motifs that fall within each day's box. At the end of 38 days it will be all colored in!
